Prerequisites

This cohort is for developers who:

  • ✓ Know how to use Git and build APIs

The focus is on the backend and the AI. We'll scaffold the React UI and use AI to generate parts of it, so you can stay where you're comfortable and still end up with a full-stack app.

What you'll need

  • → Your favourite IDE (Visual Studio, JetBrains Rider, VS Code, Cursor AI, etc.)
  • → .NET 10
  • → Docker (no Kubernetes needed)
  • → Git and a GitHub.com account
  • → An Azure account (expect ~5-10 € of usage)
  • → Your preferred AI assistant (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, etc.)

No prior AI or machine learning experience needed. We'll cover everything from fundamentals to production deployment.

While we use Azure OpenAI in the cohort, the patterns and techniques you'll learn apply across any provider. OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, or others. You're learning how to build AI features, not just how to use one specific API.

What time are the live sessions in my timezone?

Live sessions are Thursdays 4:30-5:30pm WET (Lisbon time). This is 11:30am-12:30pm EST (New York), 8:30-9:30am PST (Los Angeles), and 4:30-5:30pm GMT (London). All sessions are recorded and available within 24 hours, so you can watch at your convenience if the live time doesn't work for you.

How long does the cohort take?

The cohort runs for 7 weeks. Plan for 3-6 hours per week including recorded sessions and labs.

What happens if I can't attend a live session?

No problem. All sessions are recorded and available within 24 hours. You can catch up asynchronously at your own pace.

Do I need Azure?

Yes for deployment. Local runs work without it.

I'm a complete beginner. Is this for me?

This isn't an introductory course. We cover the AI fundamentals, but you should already be comfortable writing .NET. If you're new to C#, the pace will be too fast.

Can my company pay?

Yes. VAT invoices are supported.

What if I fall behind?

What happens if the cohort doesn't fill up?

A cohort needs a group to work. If a cohort does not reach the minimum number of participants, I will cancel it before it starts, let you know as early as I can, and refund 100% of what you paid. You can also choose to move your spot to the next cohort instead. No cost to you either way.

What if I'm not satisfied?

Attend the first week, and if it's not for you, you get a full refund.

What's the total cost, including taxes?

The displayed price (€749 / ~$869 USD) includes all taxes. One-time payment only. There are no hidden fees. The only additional cost might be €5-10 for Azure services if you exceed free tier limits.

Will I need to pay for Azure services?

Azure offers free credits for new users, typically covering the entire cohort. Expected costs are €5-10 total if you exceed free tier limits. You may need to add a payment method, but actual charges should be minimal. Local development is possible for most exercises.

Do I need to be on camera during live sessions?

No. Live sessions are interactive but camera and microphone are optional. You can participate via chat and Q&A.

Self-paced courses give you everything upfront, which makes it easy to pause and never come back.
