1. Acceptance of Terms

By enrolling in the AI Powered .NET School cohort program ("the Course"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not enroll in or access the Course.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Guilherme Ferreira ("Instructor", "we", "us", or "our").

2. Course Description

The Course is a 7-week cohort-based educational program focused on building AI-powered applications with .NET. The program includes:

  • Weekly sessions (recorded for asynchronous access)
  • Office hours for direct feedback and support
  • Access to private community
  • Complete GitHub repository with source code and materials
  • Hands-on projects and practical exercises

We reserve the right to modify the curriculum, schedule, or delivery format as needed, while maintaining the core educational value of the program.

3. Enrollment and Payment

3.1 Enrollment Process

Enrollment is completed through our course platform (Teachable). By completing enrollment, you agree to pay the applicable course fee and authorize us to charge your payment method through our payment processors (Stripe or TOCOnline).

3.2 Pricing

Course pricing is displayed in EUR and may vary based on promotional offers. Promotional pricing (such as the Black Week offer) is valid only during the specified period and subject to the stated terms.

3.3 Payment Processing

Payments are processed securely through Stripe or TOCOnline payment systems via our Teachable platform. We do not store your payment card details. You agree to provide accurate payment information and authorize charges for the enrolled course.

3.4 VAT and Invoices

Prices may be subject to VAT or other applicable taxes based on your location. VAT invoices are available upon request for eligible business enrollments.

3.5 Limited Availability

Cohort spots are limited. Enrollment is confirmed upon successful payment processing. We reserve the right to close enrollment when capacity is reached.

4. Refund Policy

We offer a satisfaction guarantee as outlined in our Refund Policy. In summary:

  • Full refund available if you attend the first week and decide the program is not for you
  • No questions asked policy within the specified timeframe
  • Refund requests must be submitted in writing
  • Processing time is typically 7-14 business days

5. EU Right of Withdrawal

As an EU consumer, you have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason, as per EU Directive 2011/83/EU.

Important: By accessing course materials or attending live sessions before the 14-day period expires, you expressly agree to waive your right of withdrawal for digital content that has been supplied. Our money-back guarantee (Section 4) provides protection beyond the standard withdrawal period.

6. Access and License

6.1 Course Access

Upon enrollment, you receive non-exclusive, non-transferable access to:

  • Course platform and materials
  • Recorded sessions and supplementary content
  • Private community (Discord or similar platform)
  • GitHub repository with code examples

6.2 Duration of Access

You will have ongoing access to course materials after the cohort ends, subject to platform availability. We reserve the right to modify delivery platforms with reasonable notice.

6.3 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. Do not share your login information. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access.

7. Intellectual Property Rights

7.1 Course Content

All course materials, including but not limited to videos, text, code, graphics, and documentation, are protected by copyright and owned by Guilherme Ferreira or licensed to us.

7.2 Limited License

You receive a limited, personal, non-transferable license to access and use course materials for your personal educational purposes only. You may NOT:

  • Redistribute, sell, or commercially exploit course materials
  • Share access credentials with others
  • Copy or reproduce materials for public distribution
  • Create derivative works for commercial purposes
  • Remove copyright or proprietary notices

7.3 Code and Projects

Code provided in the course repository may be used for learning and your own projects. Attribution is appreciated but not required for personal projects. For commercial use of significant course code, please contact us for licensing arrangements.

7.4 Your Content

You retain ownership of any code, projects, or content you create during the course. By sharing in community forums, you grant us a license to display and use that content for educational and promotional purposes.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Course and community in a respectful, lawful manner. Prohibited activities include:

  • Harassment, discrimination, or abusive behavior toward other students or instructors
  • Sharing illegal, offensive, or inappropriate content
  • Attempting to hack, disrupt, or damage course systems
  • Spamming or unauthorized commercial solicitation
  • Violating intellectual property rights
  • Impersonating others or providing false information

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms, without refund.

9. Prerequisites and Student Responsibilities

9.1 Technical Prerequisites

You are responsible for meeting the technical prerequisites listed on the course page, including:

  • Proficiency in C# and .NET development
  • Familiarity with Git and web development basics
  • Access to required software and development environment
  • Stable internet connection for live sessions

9.2 Third-Party Services

Some course activities require accounts with third-party services (e.g., Azure, GitHub). You are responsible for:

  • Creating and maintaining these accounts
  • Any costs associated with these services (estimated ~€5-10 for Azure)
  • Complying with third-party terms of service

9.3 Time Commitment

The course requires approximately 3-6 hours per week. Success depends on your active participation and practice. We cannot guarantee outcomes based solely on enrollment.

10. No Guarantees of Results

While we strive to provide high-quality education, we make no guarantees regarding:

  • Employment outcomes or career advancement
  • Specific skill acquisition or certification
  • Business success or revenue generation from learned skills
  • Compatibility with all development environments or use cases

Your success depends on factors including your prior knowledge, effort, practice, and application of learned concepts.

11. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

11.1 Educational Purpose

The Course is provided for educational purposes. Information is current as of the course date but technology evolves rapidly. We are not responsible for changes to tools, platforms, or technologies covered in the course.

11.2 No Warranty

The Course is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

11.3 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Guilherme Ferreira shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to the Course, including but not limited to:

  • Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
  • Technical issues or service interruptions
  • Errors or inaccuracies in course content
  • Actions taken based on course information

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Course.

11.4 Technical Issues

We strive for reliable service delivery but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We are not liable for technical issues caused by third-party platforms, internet service providers, or your equipment.

12. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Course, you consent to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy.

13. Termination

13.1 Termination by You

You may discontinue use of the Course at any time. Refund eligibility is governed by Section 4.

13.2 Termination by Us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access if you:

  • Violate these Terms or applicable laws
  • Engage in disruptive or abusive behavior
  • Share access credentials or course materials inappropriately
  • Fail to pay applicable fees

Termination for cause does not entitle you to a refund.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via email or course platform announcement. Continued use of the Course after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Changes will not retroactively affect your rights regarding the course you already purchased.

15. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

15.1 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Portugal, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

15.2 Jurisdiction

Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Course shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lisbon, Portugal.

15.3 EU Consumer Rights

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under EU consumer protection law.

15.4 Informal Resolution

Before initiating formal proceedings, please contact us to attempt informal resolution. Many concerns can be addressed through direct communication.

16. Miscellaneous

16.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Course.

16.2 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect.

16.3 No Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.

16.4 Assignment

You may not transfer or assign your rights under these Terms. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.

16.5 Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failures in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, pandemics, or technical failures of third-party services.
